Common questions

"Add your Gemini API key" / "Add your OpenRouter API key". WDYT needs both. Get a Gemini key at Google AI Studio (starts with "AIza") and an OpenRouter key at openrouter.ai/keys (starts with "sk-or-"). Paste each in Settings and tap Test.

The app didn't hear me. In hold mode, keep the button pressed for the whole sentence. In tap mode, tap once to start and again to finish. Check Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and Speech Recognition are on for WDYT.

Chinese recognition is poor or asks for a download. Mandarin uses the SenseVoice model (~230 MB). Download it in Settings → Speech engine, ideally on Wi-Fi. Until then Apple's recogniser is used.

It misread my menu. On the confirm screen, edit "What I picked up" and the options before confirming — the decision model only ever sees that text.

The answer says "close to a coin flip" or "not enough to go on". That's honest output. Add one sentence about what matters (e.g. "something light") in the field under the answer and ask again; the question is re-understood with it.

Where are identity.md and soul.md? Settings → About you. Both are editable; the auto-update toggle is off by default.
